Body cleanse is good for just about everyone, of course if you have medical issues or on medicine please ask your doctor before doing a body cleanse. Our body removes toxins so is a body cleanse important or necessary. Well, that is an individual decision. I can say that “wellness benefits” are improved digestion, increased energy, mindfulness reset with thinking about poor eating habits, reset the palate and thinking about long-term healthy eating.

Lemon and Ginger Shots have been around for many years. Health benefits of lemon and ginger shots are many. “Lemon and ginger shots are concentrated wellness drinks celebrated for their immune-boosting, anti-inflammatory, and digestive benefits”.  Lemons are high in Vitamin C. Ginger has anti-oxidants that help fight illness. I saw this and had to share that, “Gingerol, the main compound in ginger, is a potent anti-inflammatory agent that can help reduce pain and inflammation throughout the body”. The best part is that, “BOTH ingredients together (fresh lemon juice and ginger) help the body flush out toxins, making them a popular addition to a healthy routine. That is awesome! Ok, so it is awesome with many good benefits however, not necessarily taste awesome. But hey that tequila or vodka shot or beer was doable so this lemon and ginger shot can also be doable. Lemon and Ginger shots are great to adopt into a weekly routine. It is important to have the mentality and attitude of, “yea, i can do this at least once a week or every two weeks.

In conclusion, the ingredients are simple fresh ginger and lemon. At Whole Foods and Natural juice stores they sometimes add cayenne pepper for an extra kick (want to stay close to a bathroom for this treat). They will also ask if you want to add Turmeric root and black pepper for extra anti-inflammatory benefits (once again you will want to stay close to a bathroom. I keep my Lemon and Ginger shots simple if I get them at Whole Foods. If I do my lemon and ginger shots at home then I squeeze about 6 lemons in a hand held lemon juicer then with a kitchen hammer smash the smash out of a big piece of ginger till it is flat like a tortilla. Then I put both into the blender and press liquify for a minute or two. After that, I pour my lemon and ginger shot into a glass and drink it all up. Enjoy!
